I am a Lecturer in Education at the Department of Education, University of Bath. Prior to this role, I was a Lecturer in Education and pathway lead for the MSc in Education, Leadership and Policy at the University of Bristol. I also worked as a Research Associate at the Research for Equitable Access and Learning Centre at the University of Cambridge in Rwanda's Leaders in Teaching initiative. My research interests include educational leadership, policy, research and practice related to quality education and educational improvement in global south contexts, as well as school leaders’ and teachers’ initial education and continuing professional development. I have also collaborated on various UNESCO projects related to SDG4 and recently co-edited a volume on Decolonising Education for Sustainable Futures.

Dr. Ismail holds an MSc and a PhD in Education from the Southampton Education School and is a Fellow of The Advance Higher Education (FHEA). Her current role is as a lecturer in Digital Education and Innovation in the Directorate of Education at the University of Liverpool in the UK. Her area of expertise lies in bridging the gap between technology and pedagogy in the online learning environment through various pedagogical approaches, including Games-Based Learning (GBL). In research, she has actively participated in numerous national and international Technology-Enhanced Learning (TEL)-related projects in the Global South, including Indonesia, Kenya, Malaysia, the Middle East (Egypt, Kurdistan, Oman), Myanmar, and Thailand. With the increasing requirements to develop academics in the era of Artificial Intelligence (AI), she has led the delivery of a series of workshops in the Global South to equip academic skills and knowledge to embed AI in teaching and research. Furthermore, she is a qualitative researcher and teaches qualitative research methods, including Systematic Reviews and phenomenological approaches, and their applications using Qualitative Data Analysis Software (e.g., NVivo).

Yamina El Kirat El Allame got Ph.D. in minority identities, languages, and cultures. She is a former Fulbright visiting scholar. She is the director of the Moroccan Institute for Advanced Studies and a member of the WOCAL Standing Committee, and President of the Organizing Committee of WOCAL 9, held in Rabat-Morocco in August 2018. She has taught and published research in cultural linguistics, sociolinguistics, TEFL, language and culture, minority cultures, languages and identities, and language and educational policies for more than 25 years.

She previously worked as the Youth Development Programming and Training Specialist at the US governmental agency, Peace Corps Morocco. Oumaima earned her doctorate in the field of Educational and Intercultural Exchange and Skills Development in Youth from the 'Language, Culture and Society' Doctoral Program at the Faculty of Letters at Mohammed V University. Oumaima has more than ten years of experience, both as a researcher and a practitioner, in the fields of intercultural exchange, youth development, and volunteerism. Her research interests include Active Learning, Education and Multicultural Curricula, Soft Skills in Classroom Teaching, Training Design and Assessment, and Virtual Exchange.

Presently, he serves as an associate professor specializing in TEFL and teacher education at Ecole Normale Supérieure, Mohammed V University in Rabat. Throughout his career, he has been actively engaged in the ELT community through participation in or coordination of various national and international academic events. Azhar has also contributed numerous articles, book chapters, and edited works to the Moroccan academic literature. His research focuses primarily on second language acquisition, EFL teacher education, communication theory, as well as research methodology.

Dr. Abdelaziz Arssi is a long-term Instructor at the Moroccan Ministry of Education, he has taught over 5,000 students in EFL. As a seasoned Moroccan Sign Language expert with more than 30 years of experience working with the Deaf Community, and NGOs across Morocco, Dr. Arssi was elected to chair the association of the Africa Contact Group for Mental Health which is part of the DeafNet NPO in South Africa. He has also worked as a Lecturer at the Faculty of arts Fez (Deaf Education 2009-2012) and the Technical University of Fez (Business Communication-2013-2016). As an MSL expert, and the Director of the HIV Sign language toolkit Project, he worked as an expert interacting and training the medical, police, and judicial communities across the Fez region and has also worked as a Sign Language Interpreter on several USAID funded projects focusing on Deaf Education in Morocco. As a Sign Language consultant for IFES on the USAID-funded SL electoral lexicon for the deaf in Morocco, he examined and adapted the Arabic sign language lexicon existing at the electoral and political level in the Moroccan sign language. As an Education Expert for the USAID project A situational analysis of the schooling of the deaf and the blind in Morocco. As a consultant for the Marokkofonds funded project National inventory about the deaf in Morocco, he conducted a survey about the deaf in Morocco which included Assessment, data collection, and processing of information.
